When is the best time to book a newborn session?
It’s best to book your session while you’re pregnant to secure a spot around your due date. We’ll then adjust the date once your baby arrives.
When is the best time to book a maternity session?
The ideal time for a maternity session is around 28 to 36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully showing and you are still likely to feel comfortable and not too close to your due date.
How old should my baby be for the photoshoot?
The sweetest time for a newborn session is usually within the first 5–14 days, while your little one is still super sleepy and snuggly for those dreamy poses. If your baby is a bit older, no worries at all — we can still capture gorgeous, natural lifestyle moments you’ll love.
How long does a newborn session usually take?
Sessions typically last 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and settling your little one.
Where do the sessions take place — in the studio or at home?
You can choose either! Most of my clients opt for a home shoot!
My favourite studio that I use based in Beeston, Nottingham (NG9)
What should we bring/have during the session?
Just your baby’s essentials — nappies, milk, and anything that comforts them.
What if my baby is unsettled or needs feeding during the shoot?
No worries at all — we take breaks whenever needed. Your baby sets the pace, and everything is done calmly and gently.
Can parents and siblings be included in the photos?
Absolutely! Family and sibling shots are a beautiful part of your story and are always encouraged.
I’ll aim to get these shot first with the main part of the session focused on your newborn.
Do you provide outfits, wraps, and props?
Every session is uniquely personal to you and your family. I love incorporating items that hold special meaning but my approach is always natural and not too posed — because the most beautiful images are the ones that feel genuine and effortless.
How do you ensure my baby’s safety during the session?
Your baby’s safety and comfort come first, always. I only use gentle, natural poses and will walk you through everything before we begin, making sure both you and your little one feel completely at ease.
What should my family wear for the shoot?
Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully. Avoid bright colours and busy patterns — simple and timeless always works best.
When will we receive our photos?
Your edited gallery will be ready within 2–4 weeks after your session. You’ll receive an online gallery to view and select your favourites.
How many images are included, and can we purchase extras?
Each package includes 10 edited images, but you can always purchase additional photos for £10 an image or upgrade to a full gallery for an additional £75.
Do you offer packages that include maternity or milestone sessions?
Yes, I can edit the double shoot offer to include Bump, newborn or First-Year packages to capture every special milestone — ask for details when booking.
Do you offer family photoshoots or seasonal shoots?
Yes, definitely! Feel free to get in touch if this interests you. You can see examples of these on my Instagram or Facebook page.
What if my baby arrives early or late — can we adjust the date?
Of course! I will do my very best to find the perfect time once your baby arrives.
How do I book a session, and what’s the deposit policy?
Booking is easy. Just get in touch through my contact page or by email with a couple of dates that suit you. Once we’ve provisionally agreed on a session date, I’ll send over a client contract with all the details for you to review. If you’re happy to go ahead, a £90 deposit will secure your booking and the remaining balance is due 3 days before your session. I can hold your date for up to one week while the deposit is being arranged.
